girl: i want to eat a bag of jelly beans. (gobble gobble)

boy: !!!

girl: ow. i should have eaten a salad.

boy:  there’s no room for good things when you’re filled with junk.

  

girl:  i feel different inside.

boy:  different how?

girl:  like there’s a puzzle piece missing.

boy:  i know how that feels.  once, i ate a lot of marshmallows, and i still felt empty.

boy: i remember some man asked if i saw something strange.

girl: how old were you?

boy: 3, maybe, 4 years old.

girl: why did he ask you that?

boy: i guess i looked startled.

girl: what did you tell him?

boy: that the sky was on fire.

girl: ahh, i love when the sky’s on fire.

boy: did you hear me?

girl: what did you say?

boy: (mumble mumble)

girl: i can see your mouth move.

boy: (i hope she doesn’t open her eyes) i can smell your hair.

girl: (i hope he doesn’t move away) what?

boy: (mumble mumble)

girl:  sometimes, my thoughts get all jumbled.

boy:  what do you want to say? maybe I can help you.

girl:  i don’t know how i feel about you.

boy:  tell me how you feel now.

girl:  i feel like there are tiny fireworks about to go off.

boy:  i like fireworks.

girl:  but what about my jumbled thoughts?

boy:  the sparks will untangle them.  trust me.

boy:  how do i know if i’m doing it right?

girl:  just blow until it poofs.

boy:  until it poofs?  like how the stars poof when you spin around real fast?

girl:  no, like how your heart poofs when we hold hands.
